Workday Finance is Live!
By Workday Project TeamWe are thrilled to announce that we have kicked off the new year with a new Workday! Workday now supports many financial transactions, in addition to continuing to support many Human Resources processes.
Please begin using Workday now to complete financial transactions.
How to do this?
- Log into Workday.
- Self-service with knowledge base articles.
- Submit a support request (routes to specialists on the project).
- Sign up for training:
All employees will use the new Workday system to some extent. Please review the training information page and sign up for training sessions appropriate to your role. During training in January, we will also have office hours where you can get 1:1 support for your Workday Finance questions.
Familiarize yourself with key changes
Review knowledge base articles.
Financial Edge account codes and projects will be discontinued. Account codes will become spend or revenue categories in Workday. Projects will become worktags of Cost Center, Grant, Gift, or Project in Workday. For a listing of these items comparing the old to the new, please visit these pages:

Timing of data conversions
Historical actuals and budget data is available in the traditional Financial Reporting Tool through November 2023, and will also include December 2023, once that accounting month is closed. July through November data will be loaded into Workday over the next week.
