Danny Antonio Miro-Chinea

Affiliation: McKeen Center
Assistant Director of the Center for Common Good
Danny Miró-Chinea ’19 joined the McKeen Center in August 2023 as Assistant Director. During his time at Bowdoin, he was actively involved with the McKeen Center, which inspired him to return and contribute towards its mission to serve the Common Good. As a student, Danny was a part of the Bowdoin Volunteer Corps with the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project, participated in an Alternative Spring Break Trip related to immigration, and was one of the inaugural Bowdoin Public Service Fellows.

In his role he leverages his experience to help lead the McKeen Center Orientation Trips, Common Good Project Teams, and Alternative Spring Break trips, as well as support several groups in the Bowdoin Volunteer Corps.

Prior to returning to Bowdoin, Danny was a Venture For America Fellow in Miami, a fellowship program aiming to bring economic opportunity to emerging tech cities. During his fellowship he spent 3 years working at a startup, where he developed an interest in social entrepreneurship. He is excited to be back in Maine, slowly adjust back to the cold weather, and be a resource for current Polar Bears!
