Mahoosuc

This backpacking trip includes the "hardest mile on the Appalachian Trail" so if you're up for a challenge, consider this trip!

The Mahoosuc orientation trip is the most challenging trip offered for this program. The trip covers 25 sections of the Appalachian Trail in Western Maine near Grafton State Park. The route covers peak summits, ridge traverses with amazing views, and the notch section, which includes rock scrambles and more complex terrain. Participants work together to move as a group from their drop off to pick up points, creating memories and enjoying time in camp together after long days on trail.

Participants should expect to move camp every day, travel up to 12 miles each day with significant elevation change, and carry up to 45 pound packs.
