Michael Franz’s research interests include campaign finance, political advertising, and interest groups.He is codirector of the Wesleyan Media Project (formally the Wisconsin Advertising Project). He is author or coauthor of Political Advertising in the United States (Westview Press, 2016), Interest Groups in American Campaigns: The New Face of Electioneering 3rd edition (Oxford University Press, 2012), The Persuasive Power of Campaign Advertising (Temple University Press, 2011), Campaign Advertising and American Democracy (Temple University Press, 2007), and Choices and Changes: Interest Groups in the Electoral Process (Temple University Press, 2008).
