This summer, I interned as a summer analyst at JEGI LEONIS in New York City. JEGI LEONIS is an investment bank that specializes in sell-side mergers & acquisitions for companies in the technology, media and software sectors.
Through my internship, I had the opportunity to learn the ins-and-outs of how investment banks serve their clients.
I worked on a variety of sell-side M&A projects for JEGI LEONIS' clients and helped conduct financial analysis, prepare marketing materials, and engage in research for the industries that the firm specializes in.
Through my experience, I learned that I wanted to pursue a career in financial services and business. I also learned how to analyze software businesses and acquired a deeper understanding of what goes into selling a business. My favorite parts of the internship were interacting with the firm's clients and working with highly motivated and knowledgeable people.
