Raising the confidence and aspirations of high school girls in Maine
Senator Olympia Snowe created the OSWLI Institute’s goal to raise the confidence and aspirations of high school girls by helping them develop the skills required to be leaders in their lives, families, careers, and communities.
I co-headed the program’s alum network, established baseline data, data analysis and records upkeeping, and communications.
My Responsibilities:
- Co-headed outreach survey for alums
- Managed communications with alum and network connections
- Proposed, created and planned events
- Research and data collection creation of an alum baseline
My Experience:
- Loved working with the team on projects
- Connected through the nonprofit world’s network
- Diving into nonprofit work after long-time careers in different fields
- The drive for wanting to create something with meaning and values embedded in the work
- Experience working in Microsoft tools like Excel and Word e.g. email merges
- Drafting and establishing company Standard Operating Procedures
- Managing in and out of network correspondences
- Meet alum of the program at events
- Working with spreadsheets and data analysis in Google Sheets and Excel
