Raising the confidence and aspirations of high school girls in Maine

​Senator Olympia Snowe created the OSWLI Institute’s goal to raise the confidence and​ aspirations of high school girls by helping them develop the skills required to be leaders in their lives, families, careers, and communities.

I co-headed the program’s alum network, established baseline data, data analysis and records upkeeping, and communications.​

​My Responsibilities:

  • Co-headed outreach survey for alums
  • Managed communications with alum and network​ connections
  • Proposed, created and planned events
  • Research and data collection creation of an alum​ baseline​

​My Experience:

  • Loved working with the team on projects
  • Connected through the nonprofit world’s network
  • Diving into nonprofit work after long-time careers​ in different fields
  • The drive for wanting to create something with​ meaning and values embedded in the work
  • Experience working in Microsoft tools like Excel​ and Word e.g. email merges
  • Drafting and establishing company Standard​ Operating Procedures
  • Managing in and out of network correspondences
  • Meet alum of the program at events
  • Working with spreadsheets and data analysis in Google Sheets and Excel
