Maine Comprehensive Pain Management works closely with primary care providers along with a network of other specialists to get patients back to living instead of watching life as a spectator. Maine Comprehensive Pain Management is a comprehensive multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping treat and manage pain.

During my time at MCPM this summer, I engaged in active researchregarding the efficacy of botox injection for chronic migraine treatment at the practice. Additionally, I conducted three different case reports on patients presenting with rare conditions that hadn’t garnered much attention in the literature.

I learned a lot about myself during my time at MCPM this summer. I realized that I truly enjoy engaging in clinical research and contributing to the vast amount of medical knowledge in the literature. Further, I built a solid foundation of research skills which I now know I can leverage in future research settings both academically and professionally. Finally, this experience helped to solidify my interest in going to medical school and one day treating patients… potentially in this very field of pain management.
