This summer, I collaborated with College Match in their endeavor to furnish impactful resources for FGLI marginalized groups; I helped bolster their data infrastructure by means of cleansing and streamlining processes. College Match's mission includes “helping talented students from low-income families get into and graduate from the nation's top colleges and universities.”

This summer I worked on the following:

Facilitate CM scholars in navigating their college application journey via a series of diverse and comprehensive college preparatory events.

  • Impact: Streamlining scholars' collegiate application journey, imbuing them with knowledge and distinctive insights
  • Growth: Strengthened leadership and communication skills
  • Favorites: Visiting colleges, answering student inquiries

Built infrastructure for a data science project that could be used to help students make informed college decisions as a CM scholar.

  • Impact: Enhanced the concept of taking initiative, strengthened one’s independence
  • Growth: Expanded my Python skills through the acquisition and experience using various libraries (tensorflow, tokenizers, genism.models)
  • Favorites: Applying these new tools; witnessing the end project!
