Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), Department of Pediatric Newborn Medicine strives on improving long-term outcomes of high-risk infants including premature infants and at-risk term-born infants.

During my time at this organization, I researched the development of premature and post-term newborns to determine the correlation and probability of brain damage in premature vs. post-term newborns, ultimately focusing on optimizing the short and long-term neurodevelopment outcomes of high-risk newborns.

Interning at BWH at Harvard Medical School allowed me to explore my goal of becoming a research-focused leader in the field of medicine. I was also lucky enough to shadow within the Neonatal intensive care department, interacting with both patients and doctors. After completing my internship, I can say that I would love to work in Pediatric Medicine futuristically.
