Analyzing La Clínica COVID-19 data
La Clínica is an Oakland based nonprofit that seeks to provide equitable and multilingual healthcare to patients regardless of their income or insurance status.
As a public health and data science intern, my main project this summer was to process COVID-19 data. I worked with the Quality Assurance and Executive teams to analyze La Clínica COVID-19 data and created graphics. I also shadowed a variety of meetings in order to better understand the structure of the organization and their COVID-19 response.
I am a pre-Med student, who is also a Government and Legal Studies Major and a Data and Computational Studies minor. This internship brought together my passion for public health and coding skills from DCS.
