KenSAP Summer Instructor

Welcoming students to the KenSAP family.

The Kenya Scholar Access Program (KenSAP) is a non-profit organization that selects the brightest of Kenya’s low-income high school graduates and guides them through college application to private colleges in the US.
I worked with this year’s KenSAP class of 18 students on a writing seminar based on the book ’Americanah’ by Chimamanda Adichie.
Through this internship, I got to strengthen my project management skills and my public speaking skills.
As an alumna of KenSAP, it was fulfilling to welcome the students to the KenSAP family. I enjoyed sharing my experience at an elite college like Bowdoin, making friends with the students, and listening to their brilliant thoughts in class.
