Fitness and Wellness Classes

The Wellness Center offers an array of classes throughout the week. Seminars, workshops, and retreats are offered in the evenings and weekdays to educate students about a range of mind/body/spirit-oriented practices that include information about acupuncture, massage, reflexology, Chinese Medicine, and integrative medicine approaches to health and well-being. Monday

Morning Flow Yoga with Birgitta Peterson
6:45 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.

An all-levels invigorating yoga flow focused on stretching the spine and strengthening the core.

Barre with Mae Corwin
12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.
Buck 301

A low-impact class that combines exercises from Pilates, barre fitness and classical strength training to help strengthen and tone your muscles, improve your posture and increase your cardiovascular endurance. Because of the low-impact nature of this class, it is accessible to even the most beginner students, even those working with injuries or movement impairments. This all-level class is a great compliment to any level of yoga practice.

Mindfulness Mediation with Kate Nicholson
4:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

Learn to let go of resistance and find acceptance not just toward your own thoughts and feelings, but also other people and difficult situations.

Zumba with Bea Blakemore
5:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

Dance your way to a fitter you!  This class combines Latin rhythms with cardiovascular exercise to create an aerobic routine that is fun and easy to follow. With exciting and unique moves you will have fun while getting fit. Open to all fitness levels.

Yoga for Peace & Release with Kate Nicholson
5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

A moderate level yoga class combining beginning with centering, fluid movements and deep stretches to release achy hips, back and shoulders and neck. Finishing with restorative shapes and optional aromatherapy or massage assists for peace & relaxation. 


Tuesday

Spin-Indoor Cycling with Sajel Surati ’25
5:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Spinning is perfect for everyone since you control the resistance and pedal speed creating just the right intensity for you. Beginners are welcome at all classes. We’ll fit your bike and get you started so you feel comfortable.

Vinyasa Yoga with Terry Cockburn
12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m.

A creative power-flow to connect your body and breath. Transform your practice by incorporating asanas with traditional yogic values, such as energy-balancing, pranayama, and meditation. Feel like your best self while challenging your muscles and mind. 

Pop Pilates with Daneem Kim
5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.

An incredible fusion of ab-chiseling and total body defining moves choreographed to your favorite radio hits. This intense, mat-based workout will take Classical Pilates to the next level, challenging your core while leaving no muscle untouched. All levels are welcome!

Wednesday

HIIT with Daneem Kim
12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m.

A high intensity interval training workout that features intense bursts of cardio and conditioning moves to build strength and endurance. This 45-minute class combines the dynamic power of HIIT with a core burnout and cooldown for a total body workout. 

Midweek Restore with Birgitta Peterson
12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.

Press pause midweek for a yoga class designed to ease tension in mind, body, and soul. Yin yoga is a slow-paced, passive type of yoga that incorporates long holds and deep breaths for a stretch that gets right into the muscle fibers. Those recovering from an injury or looking to lengthen versus strengthen will feel right at home in a Yin yoga class.

Vinyasa Yoga with Marie Caspard ’20
7:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.

You will work with a sequence or two of yoga poses, pairing movement with breath as you flow through them. It will build in intensity throughout the hour to develop strength, flexibility, and balance. Expect a moderate workout, with modifications offered to intensify or ease your practice. All levels of experience are welcome.

Weight Lifting with Paula Habel

Qi Gong with Terry Cockburn

Barre Fusion with Lindsey Larsen Myer
5:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

A challenging and unique combination of a dynamic Tai Chi warm up, Power Yoga to stretch and build body heat, light weights used for toning, basic ballet movements to stretch, strengthen and lengthen the body, Pilates core and ending class with a relaxing gentle stretch and meditative shivasana. All levels are welcome and modifications are encouraged if needed.

Spin-Indoor Cycling with Lindsey Larsen Myer
6:15 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Choreographed to the beat, this rhythm ride based cycle class will take you on an upbeat adventure through guided mixed terrain that will challenge your strength and stamina. This cardiovascular class is catered to the warrior within you and will uplift your mind, body, and spirit. All levels welcome and modifications available.

Friday

Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Mae Corwin
9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.

Finish your week with a good stretch, some deep breathing and fun Vinyasa flow.  Every class starts with brief seated meditation followed by mindful asanas moving in tempo with breath.  Options to intensify one's personal practice or dial down depending, modifications always offered.
