Davenport Advance
Students may request a Davenport Advance to cover expenses related to a study away program, such as a program deposit or airfare.
There is no interest associated with the Davenport Advance; the funds are charged against a student’s aid disbursement. Please note, the advance will reduce the amount of funds available to send to the study abroad program.
To request a Davenport Advance, please complete the Davenport Request for Off-Campus Study.
Plan accordingly: Requests received by Monday at noon will be included in our weekly payment processing on Thursday. Requests received after Monday at noon will be paid the following Thursday. Payment will be issued via direct deposit for students with established banking information on file with the Controller’s Office. Otherwise, paper checks will be mailed to student Smith Union boxes.
