Women across the north have used colorful glass beads to embellish clothing and accessories since traders and explorers first introduced these iconic trade goods. From Alaska to Greenland, women have adorned moccasins, clothing, jewelry, bags, dolls, and even sculptures with beads. This exhibit highlights the beauty and diversity of historic and contemporary beadwork.
