First Regional BCBAA Event in New York City

By Bowdoin News

In October, members of Bowdoin College Black Alumni Association (BCBAA) enjoyed their inaugural regional event in New York City, hosted by Chris Seeley ’94, P’26, Staci Williams Seeley ’90, P’26, and their son, Crawford Seeley ’26, at their home in midtown Manhattan.

Alumni from class years spanning the early 1970s to the 2020s rekindled old connections and forged new ones. Event committee co-chair Diamond Walker ‘17 shared remarks highlighting the work of the BCBAA.

The event was sponsored by the BCBAA, and more than half a dozen members of the coordinating council were present.

“The event served as a testament to the enduring bonds that unite BCBAA alumni, reaffirming the power of community and the transformative impact of education,” said Joycelyn Blizzard, director of multicultural alumni engagement. “We look forward to organizing more regional events in the coming months.”
