Request Accommodations

1. Visit Bowdoin’s Accessible Information Management (AIM) Portal to submit a request for accommodation(s). FYI: You will be asked to log in using your Bowdoin username and password.
   
   
2. Upload your supporting documentation to the AIM Portal. Requests for accommodation are not typically reviewed until the supporting documentation has been uploaded. The purpose of the documentation is to help us understand the barriers you may encounter in accessing your education at Bowdoin in order to better inform what accommodations you may need and qualify for. Your documentation will also assist us in comprehensively addressing your disability-related needs. For General Documentation Guidelines, please visit our website. 
   
   
3. You are encouraged to schedule a phone or video call with the Student Accessibility Office so we can fully understand your condition, functional limitations, and the barriers you may encounter at Bowdoin College. In some cases, a telephone or video call may be required.

For Fall Semester Housing:
Housing accommodation requests (and the required documentation to support the request) must be submitted by the deadline below to allow sufficient time to review the request. Requests made after each deadline below will be reviewed; however, even if approved, appropriate accommodations may not be available until the following semester.

• Returning students, January 31
• New students (First-Year students and Transfer/Exchange students), June 15
• Re-enrolled students, June 30

NOTE: Students returning to campus in the spring semester (from off-campus study or a leave of absence), should submit requests for housing accommodation(s) as early as possible when their return plans have been confirmed. As there is no housing lottery for spring semester housing, Res. Life will work with students individually and honor approved housing accommodations if appropriate spaces are available.
