Tom Porter

Responsibilities: Works as a writer and multimedia producer to generate content for various news and information platforms within the Bowdoin website. Produces written, video, and audio content covering various aspects of life on campus, including academic research and student activities. Also solicits comment from faculty members on news and current affairs issues that fall within their areas of expertise.

Background and Experience: Worked for fifteen years in broadcast news, including seven years with Bloomberg News in London. Worked as a news anchor and radio journalist for MPBN News in Maine for nearly eight years. Tom has a bachelor’s degree in history from University College, London, and a master’s in war studies from King’s College London.
