Doug Cook

Director of College and Media Relations

Doug manages media relations at the College — pitching stories and faculty expertise to national media, coordinating faculty and staff interviews, handling information requests from media outlets, and serving as a college spokesperson. He oversees content and distribution of monthly news and information mailings to alumni and families, and is a staff liaison to the Association of Bowdoin Friends Steering Committee.

Background and Experience:

Doug joined Bowdoin in December 2006 following a fifteen-year career in broadcast journalism as a news anchor and reporter. An Emmy-nominated journalist, Doug contributed reports to ABC News and CNN. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.
