Message to the Bowdoin Community — June 22, 2016
To the Bowdoin community,
The academic year just completed saw magnificent achievements in our classrooms and laboratories, unparalleled success in athletics, vibrant artistic contributions, and the enduring spirit of friendship and goodwill that defines this community, even as we worked through some of the most challenging issues that face college campuses and society today.
Bowdoin has never been stronger, thanks to the many contributions of students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends, and the “generous enthusiasms” of this extraordinary place. As we move into the glory of another Maine summer and prepare to welcome the Class of 2020 in late August, I invite you to explore a piece we created that features — from A to Z — just some of the highlights of Bowdoin’s 214th academic year. I know you will feel deep pride in the accomplishments that continue to define Bowdoin and that secure our future in the highest ranks of American higher education.
With best wishes for a wonderful summer,
Clayton S. Rose
