Bowdoin Recognized for Support of Brunswick Schools

By Bowdoin News

The Brunswick School Department recognized Bowdoin with gratitude this fall for its support in providing new outdoor pavilions at each of the four schools in the district.

Over the last year and with funding from the College, the school department installed wooden pavilions at Kate Furbish Elementary, Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary, Brunswick Junior High, and Brunswick High School.

The pavilions provide covered outdoor space for students, teachers, and families and can be used throughout the year.

The pavilion at the high school has already become a go-to spot for athletes who use the space as they get ready for practice and the structure at the Stowe School has become a popular venue for students’ weekend birthday parties.
