Bowdoin’s education department recently hosted a panel discussion in Kresge Auditorium to discuss what can be done to raise the status of the teaching profession. The event was moderated by Doris Santoro, associate professor of education. Guest panelists included the superintendents of Cape Elizabeth, Bangor and Camden/Rockport schools, a representative of the Maine Education Association, and a Portland teacher.
