Los Angeles and San Francisco Welcome President Safa Zaki
By Bowdoin NewsPolar Bears in the Golden State rolled out the red carpet to welcome President Safa Zaki with a pair of events in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
More than 220 Bay Area alumni, parents, students, and friends of the College gathered in the Grand Hall of the San Francisco Ferry Building on January 9, 2024, to welcome Bowdoin new president. Holly Zuklie ’90, P’21 P’23 and trustee Mitch Zuklie ’91, P’21, P’23 introduced President Zaki who delivered remarks.
Two days later, trustee Bill Anderson ’80 welcomed more than 120 Southern California-area alumni, parents, students, and other guests at Openaire, a greenhouse-inspired space in the LINE Hotel in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles before President Safa Zaki delivered remarks.
