Reunion Weekend 2023: 1794 Society and Leadership Volunteer Appreciation Reception Slideshow

By Bowdoin News
Despite a rainy afternoon, the mood was joyful inside the 1794 Society reception tent.

Held on the lawn of the Parker Cleaveland House on the Saturday of Reunion Weekend, the gathering was a chance for those who continue to make a difference for the College and the Bowdoin community to be celebrated, including with words of gratitude from President Clayton Rose, who noted for the crowd that his appearance and remarks there were among the last of his official duties as president of the College.

More than 250 guests included members of the Class of 2018 on through the Class of 1953.

This reception is for Bowdoin’s annual giving leadership donors and volunteer leadership, to thank them for their generous support of the Annual Funds—Alumni Fund, Parents Fund, and Polar Bear Athletic Fund—and to recognize how critical their current and future contributions are to the success of the College.

Members of the Bowdoin community who make an impact through their leadership volunteer service are included as a thank you for their work regardless of giving level.
