Bowdoin women alumni and current students gathered over brunch to celebrate their cultural identities and bond over their shared Bowdoin experiences. The group welcomed the opportunity to foster connections with each other, neither hesitating to exchange stories and laughs upon introduction. Students deeply appreciated alumni insights on successfully navigating Bowdoin and making the most of their time on campus. Alumni enjoyed hearing the progress that Bowdoin has made in diversifying the student body and supporting students of color by employing staff to cater specifically to their needs, seeking out diverse programming and offering culturally relevant curricular options. Most attendees stayed after brunch to share contact information and make plans to meet again. Attendees expressed that the brunch was not only fun and memorable, but also a necessary forum for women of color.
