Bowdoin Queer Straight Alliance (BQSA)
The Bowdoin Queer-Straight Alliance is a student-led support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning students and their allies. The BQSA is also committed to raising awareness of queer issues at Bowdoin and in the Brunswick community.

BQSA welcomes people from all walks of life and does not discriminate based on real or perceived sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, religion, class, creed, age, beliefs or physical/mental ability.
Events in the past have included sponsoring speakers like Judy Shepard, hosting parties like the annual Drag Ball, organizing demonstrations for the National Day of Silence, and attending conferences like Tuft’s Safe Colleges.
