Workday Student Demos

On November 11th, Donna Marzolf, Presales Solution Consultant at Workday, joined the Bowdoin community to hold three demos of Workday student. This gave a variety of groups around campus a peek into the possibilities on the horizon as we transition from Polaris to Workday.

The first session was specific to the Registrar's Office, and gave that team a good glimpse of how Workday works "under the hood." The next session was for a much broader audience, including faculty, IT, and staff offices around campus that work with student information and records. Here Donna walked the group through how registration looks and feels from a student's perspective, as well as how faculty can view their course information and rosters. Finally, Donna held a midsize demo for staff from areas like Academic Affairs, Institutional Research and Consulting, IT, the Bursar's Office, and the Registrar's Office around Workday's reporting capabilities.

Feedback from the event was very positive, and those who had the opportunity to see the demos were eager to see the ways that we'll be able to put Workday to work for us at Bowdoin!

The Workday Student project is set to kick off officially in Fall 2023.
