Introducing the Workday Project Team

Let's get to know the teams involved in the overall project management, the HCM Optimization project, and the Finance implementation!
Workday Implementation Project Management Team
Heather Rankin, Project Manager
Heather will serve as the overall project manager and keep track of timelines and project deliverables. She'll be working to keep both Bowdoin and Alchemy in communication with each other, and will be communicating with the Steering Committee about successes and challenges in the project.
Emy Farley, Workday and ERP Product Manager
Emy is one of two product managers involved in the project, and has a deep background in Academic Affairs, having worked in Admissions and Registrar's Offices for roughly twenty years. The product manager's job is to serve as the communications conduit between Bowdoin administrative staff, IT, Workday, and Alchemy implementers when it comes to Workday meeting Bowdoin's needs. They are responsible for developing and maintaining product roadmaps and overseeing workday release information. They advocate the use of industry and Workday best practices, while making sure Bowdoin holds on to what makes Bowdoin, Bowdoin.
Shannon Gallagher, Workday and ERP Product Manager
Shannon is one of two product managers involved in the project, and has held a variety of roles in both Financial Aid and Enrollment Services for roughly twenty years. The product manager's job is to serve as the communications conduit between Bowdoin administrative staff, IT, Workday, and Alchemy implementers when it comes to Workday meeting Bowdoin's needs. Brittany Geiger, Workday Financials Manager
Brittany comes to the Workday Project Team as the Workday Financials Manager. She has been at Bowdoin since 2016, where she served as Bursar in the Controller's Office until 2021. Brittany has worked in higher ed finance since 2014. Brittany's role as Workday Financials Manager will be as the day-to-day lead for Workday financial systems and be the touchpoint to decision making across finance areas. She will support the finance team in testing, documenting, troubleshooting, and improving processes, and working with the Product Managers to ensure that Finance's needs are being met.
