Opening of the College: Bowdoin's 219th Convocation

The College’s annual Convocation ceremony, marking the official opening of its 219th academic year, was held September 1, 2020. In his “Opening of the College” address, President Clayton S. Rose welcomed students, as well as faculty and staff colleagues. The other Convocation speakers were Director of the Rachel Lord Center for Religious and Spiritual Life Eduardo Pazos, Dean Janet Lohmann, and Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Danielle Dube, whose talk is titled “Understanding and Dismantling Structures, One Bacterium at a Time.”
