Sarah joined Bowdoin in 2023. As a data analyst, she develops reports, summaries, and data visualizations to help inform decision making and official reporting. Prior to coming to Bowdoin, Sarah conducted research on both soil carbon modeling and the utilization of social media data as it relates to local homelessness, the latter of which was presented at the International Conference on Computational Social Science in Copenhagen. During the course of these projects, she gained experience managing data at all steps of the analytical process, with particular interest in data visualization and methods of natural language processing. Sarah earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Complex Systems and Data Science at the University of Vermont.
