Zihan Qin

Zihan Qin received her M.A. in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language at the University of Iowa with a specialization in Chinese as a second language (CSL) reading strategies. Prior to joining Bowdoin, she taught at Washington University in St. Louis. She has taught Chinese language courses at all levels, varying from beginning to advanced level to both heritage and non-heritage students. She has a strong interest in incorporating multimedia technologies and authentic materials into language teaching and utilizes various pedagogical approaches to engage and motivate students in and outside of the classroom. 

Zihan Qin has extensive experiences teaching at intensive summer programs. She has taught at Middlebury Chinese School, Princeton in Beijing and led Fourth-Year Chinese at Duke Study in China and Washington University Summer Chinese Program. 

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, playing tennis, and playing with her dog.
