Jeff Christmas began teaching at Bowdoin in Fall of 2015. In addition to teaching music theory Jeff has taught Art of Singing, Creating Music in the Digital Age, and voice lessons (both classical and pop/jazz). Jeff is a baritone vocalist whose primary studies have been with Julia Pedigo, William Cotten, and Michael Strauss. As a vocalist he enjoys a variety of styles—having sung opera with Boston Lyric Opera, Knoxville Opera, and Greenville Light Opera Works in addition to performing regularly around Maine as a singer-songwriter and collaborator. Jeff moved to Maine in Fall of 2015 with his partner and two sons. In addition to the work he does at Bowdoin he is also on the faculty at 317 Main Community Music Center in Yarmouth.
