Bowdoin's 16th President

Bowdoin College is currently conducting a comprehensive search for a new leader to succeed Clayton Rose as president. Rose, who has served as president of the College since 2015, announced in April that he will step down in June 2023 at the conclusion of the 2022-2023 academic year. A nineteen-member search committee comprising trustees, faculty, alumni, students, and staff—led by Trustees Sydney Asbury ’03 and Bertrand Garcia-Moreno ’81, P’17—was charged by the Board of Trustees with specific expectations and authority regarding the search process and is assisted by the nationally recognized search firm of Spencer Stuart.

The Search Committee welcomes nominations and applications for the position of president. All submissions will be treated with the strictest of confidence. Submit a nomination through Spencer Stuart.
