Welcoming the New Boathouse

Bowdoin rowing has a new home to accommodate the needs of its growing roster of athletes. The Steinwachs Family Boathouse on the New Meadows River was formally dedicated on Homecoming Weekend in early October.
More than 170 people attended the event at the new boathouse, which is located on the site of the former Smith Boathouse and which fulfills a need that emerged with the growth of the rowing team over the past decade.
With upwards of eighty athletes on the roster, the Bowdoin “navy” has increased its fleet both in the number of boats and in their size. Read more.
