From Declaration to Celebration: Sophomores Choose Their Academic Homes

Every year Student Activities throws an afternoon party in Morrell Lounge for sophomores on the day they must officially choose a major. It's a joyful occasion.

At this year's gathering, students snacked on vegetable and fruit platters, enjoyed sweets and fried treats, and helped themselves to Bowdoin-branded rubber duckies.

They also took delight in writing their signatures on sticky notes and attaching them to beautifully designed posters—created by Assistant Director of Student Activities Eunice Shin—representing all of Bowdoin's majors.
