Gradual Graduate: Lisa Bouffard’s Eighteen-Year Journey to Her College Degree

Lisa Bouffard, who has worked in Dining Services for nearly a quarter century, graduated with the Class of 2019 after chipping away at her degree for the past eighteen years.
Lisa Bouffard, an administrative coordinator in Dining Services for 23 years, began taking classes in 2001. She graduated May 24 with the Class of 2019.

Bouffard spoke with Doug Cook, Bowdoin’s director of college and media relations, about taking a leap into the unknown, balancing her day job and school work, and sometimes playing what she calls “the mom card” with her younger classmates.
