Bowdoin’s Purple Media Plunge Project, a month-long challenge in which students stray from their comfortable news sites — where they can reliably read articles with a liberal or conservative bent — and instead make an effort to read news from the other side, finds itself in the news.

Associate Director Tom Ancona for their perspective on how reading news headlines from the left and right affects views on politics and the media.
