Grant Recipients

Allison Cooper (Romance Languages and Literatures and Cinema Studies) and her colleagues at the University of California - Berkeley were awarded a grant from Schmidt Sciences for their project titled Bridging large-scale computational analysis and the close viewing of Film and Television.

Danielle Dube (Chemistry) was awarded a grant through the National Institutes of Health IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence program (via Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory) for her project titled Understanding the role of Helicobacter pylori glycans in mediating adhesion to host cells.

Mary Rogalski (Biology and Environmental Studies) was awarded a CAREER grant from the National Science Foundation for her project titled Adapting to Life with a dash of salt: Eco-evolutionary consequences of freshwater salinization. 

Jill Smith (German) was awarded a grant from the German Embassy for Campus Weeks programming titled Germany on Campus.
