Updates to COVID-19 Testing Protocol—May 10, 2022

To the Bowdoin community,

The following is detailed information about changes to our testing protocol: 

PCR Testing

PCR testing is still required once a week through Thursday, May 19.

All students currently on campus and planning to participate in Senior Week and Commencement MUST take a PCR test on Thursday, May 19.

PCR testing will be OPTIONAL on Monday, May 23, and Thursday, May 26. PCR testing times will continue to be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays in Farley Field House.

PCR testing on campus will be discontinued after May 26.

Antigen Testing

The College will continue to provide antigen testing this month for students, faculty, and staff who are experiencing symptoms or need to test out of isolation. PLEASE NOTE THE LOCATION CHANGE BELOW:

  • Through Friday, May 20–Antigen testing will be available Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Farley Field House.
  • Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27–Antigen testing will be available Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Coles Tower.

Antigen testing details for the summer will be announced at a later date.

For those of you who took a PCR test yesterday, there was a planned shutdown at the Broad Institute.  Results should start coming in shortly.
