Girolamo Pesci, The First Sacrifice after the Flood

Organized in conjunction with a history course and lecture series, this exhibition poses a comparative study of artistic interpretations of the early books of the Old Testament. Included are prints, paintings, and illustrated texts, and particular attention is paid to artistic invention and the relationship between the scientific and the scriptural. Presented in conjunction with History 200, “Creating the World: Genesis and Its Interpreters.”
