Bowdoin Prize (March 30, 2021)

Good morning,

Today I am delighted to announce that the College will award our highest honor—The Bowdoin Prize—to Kenneth I. Chenault ’73, H’96 in recognition of his extraordinary career as a visionary leader of immense integrity whose life and example have long inspired and motivated so many others.

Ken’s nomination for The Bowdoin Prize was approved unanimously by the board of trustees and the Committee of Award in February 2020, but the announcement was delayed until now because of the pandemic. We will honor Ken at a special ceremony this November in New York City. In the meantime, I invite you to read more about Ken’s extraordinary career and about the origin and history of The Bowdoin Prize. I know each of you joins me in congratulating Ken Chenault for this well-deserved honor.

All the best,
