Homecoming 2024: A Weekend to Remember

By Bowdoin News
Beautiful fall weather set the scene for Homecoming Weekend 2024 as hundreds of returning Polar Bears enjoyed Harvestfest, athletic events, affinity gatherings, a celebration of 200 years of economics at Bowdoin, and more.

Alumni also participated in events sponsored by the Association of Bowdoin Latinx Alumni (ABLA), Bowdoin College Black Alumni Association (BCBAA), and RepresentAsian, Bowdoin’s Asian Alumni Association that included a networking session with current students, multicultural kaleidoscope celebration, talent showcase, trivia night, and the affinity groups' respective annual meetings.

The milestone of two hundred years of economics at Bowdoin was celebrated with two signature events—the F. Thomas O’Halloran ’77, P’13 Family Lecture with Tim Leonard, “The Wise Minority in the Saddle: When American Economists Became Experts,” and the Department of Economics Bicentennial Lunch and Lecture, during which William D. Shipman Professor of Economics Zorina Khan delivered the keynote lecture. Read more about the anniversary celebration here.

Bowdoin Network of Women enjoyed coffee on the Quad followed by a tour of the Museum of Art and an open house at the Bowdoin Orient brought together current and former student reporters and editors.
