As first-year students and families pulled into campus with their vehicles packed to the brim, they were swarmed by volunteers ready to help them haul luggage to dorm rooms.
A small team from Bowdoin's communications office also waded into the swirl of activity to ask several new students and parents what they most wished for during these next few years of college.
