New York City Alumni and Parents are Treated to a Deliciously Entertaining Evening

New York City Alumni and Parents were treated to a deliciously entertaining evening with Tom Kaplan ’80, Senior Managing Partner at Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, Marguerite Mariscal ’11, Vice President of Brand at Momofuku, and David Gruber ’11, Digital Communications for the Batali and Bastianich Hospitality Group. The conversation titled “Turning the Table: New Perspectives in the Restaurant World from Bowdoin Alumni” was about staying innovative in an ever-changing and digitally enhanced business. Tom, Marguerite, and David talked about their paths since Bowdoin, what they do for their respective brands, current challenges and trends in the industry, and their predictions for the future. They fielded questions from a packed audience before spending the remainder of the evening visiting with fellow polar bears. The event took place at Mario Batali’s newest New York City restaurant, La Sirena, located in the Maritime Hotel in Chelsea.
