Slideshow: Students Plant Flags to Honor 9/11 Victims

In what has now become an annual tradition for members of the Bowdoin Student Government, a group of students woke up early on the morning of the 9/11 anniversary and planted small American flags across Coe Quad. This year, the students posted more than 2,200 flags, to commemorate the nearly 3,000 people who died in the attacks fifteen years ago. Among the victims were three Bowdoin graduates, Christopher S. Gardner ’87, Frank J. Doyle ’85 and James Roux ’81.
