Tech Alumni and Students “Meetup” in Cambridge

On Thursday, July 21, the Bowdoin Club of Boston held a “Tech Meetup” in Cambridge. Alumni and students connected with other Polar Bears interested in technology and start-ups.

There was an inspiring speaker program featuring Sean Marsh ’95, cofounder/general partner, PJC; Laura Harrison (DeVincentis) ’02, manager, Engineering, Riverbed Technology; Courtney Camps ’08, director of customer success, EverTrue; Katie Boyce ’11, project manager, Eze Software Group; and Rori Cremer ’11, field engineer, and Nathan Merritt ’11, software engineer, both of Tamr. Topics discussed included women in tech, the path from Bowdoin to the tech industry, day-to-day life in the tech world, and challenges in the financial tech sector.

The event was organized and hosted by Andy Palmer ’88, Sean Marsh ’95, Steve Gogolak ’05, and Katie Boyce ’11PJC and Tamr sponsored the event.
