Seattle Polar Bears Gather for Bowdoin and Bocce

The great Seattle vibe permeated the bocce courts at Rein Haus as members of the Seattle Bowdoin Community from 1958 through 2015 showed up for a chance to hang out, play some games, reconnect with old friends as well as some new Polar Bears, even a few who had moved within the last week.

Home to one of the most active groups of BASIC volunteers, alumni talked up the importance of volunteering, noting the satisfaction of getting great kids from Washington State to Bowdoin, and the importance of getting great Bowdoin graduates to Washington State.

“We’d love to see more BASIC Volunteers, more opportunities for student internships, and more participation in the College’s BowdoinOne Day giving program,” noted Sean Bell ’92 the event host and member of the Alumni Council, who addressed the group having just returned from a weekend in Brunswick and sharing news from Maine.

In addition to the great group that gathered was the treat of having a few special youngsters on hand to remind us of the next generation of Polar Bears!  Check out the Bowdoin and Bocce photo album to see more photos from the event.
