A large group of multicultural alumni spanning several generations gathered on campus on Saturday, April 2. Alumni from class years 1955 through 2015 were joined by members of the administration, current students, faculty, and staff who updated the group on life at the College, including aspects of the academic program and student life, including multicultural affairs, career services, athletics, and other extracurricular activities. Participants discussed some of the challenges Bowdoin faces in ensuring that every student—regardless of background—has equal access to the opportunities inherent in a Bowdoin education, with alumni offering insights, observations, and suggestions from their own time at the College and from their own life and career experiences.
