Bowdoin Tech Meetup at Google NYC

Alumni at Google’s NYC Office hosted the 2nd annual Bowdoin Tech Meetup in New York on Wednesday evening.  Alumni, students, and parents met and mingled with other polar bears interested in technology and startups.  In addition to the coveted Google space, the Bowdoin Club of New York put together a fantastic program featuring inspiring lightning talks by Eric Davich ’06, Global Content Marketing Lead, Google Play Music, Brendan Dickinson ’04, Principal, Canaan Partners, Stan Berkow ’11, Founder and CEO, Sense Health, and Debbie Wissel ’03, VP of Product & Marketing, PayPerks.  Moderator Rebecca Ginsberg Rutkoff ’07, Head of DC, NYC & Regional Communications for Google, facilitated a Q&A session covering topics such as raising money, acquisitions, the path from Bowdoin to the tech industry, and day-to-day life at a startup.  For more photos of the event and to connect with other polar bears in New York City, visit the Bowdoin Club of New York Facebook page
