Awards honoring outstanding leadership and service to the College will be presented during Reunion Convocation June 4, 2016.

The Common Good Award, selected by the Bowdoin College Board of Trustees, recognizes a profound and sustained commitment to the common good. This year the award has two recipients — and they are siblings, no less: Leslie Preston ’88, who has dedicated her career to social justice and healthcare for underserved populations, and her brother Dean Preston ’91, a champion of tenants’ rights.

The Alumni Service Award and the Alumni Award for Faculty and Staff, chosen by the Alumni Council, recognize members of the Bowdoin community for their exemplary achievement and dedication. The Alumni Service Award will be presented to Trustee James MacAllen ’66, and the Alumni Award for Faculty and Staff goes to Steven Cerf, Bowdoin’s George Lincoln Skolfield Jr. Professor of German Emeritus.

Registration for Reunion 2016 (June 2-5) begins in March.
