Karina Graeter '14 Publishes Research in Mineralogy Journal
Karina Graeter, who graduated in 2014, is the lead author of an article published in this month’s issue of the journal American Mineralogist. Her article, “Formation of rhyolite at the Okataina Volcanic Complex, New Zealand: New insights from analysis of quartz clusters in plutonic lithics,” was selected by the editors as one of the issue’s notable papers. The research for the article is based on Grater’s honors thesis, which was supported in part by Bowdoin’s Surdna Foundation Undergraduate Research Fellowship program and a Grua-O’Connell Faculty/Student Research award.
